Purchase: Hunting Outerwear I purchased the Scent-Lok Savanna coveralls from Cabelas just before Oct. 2004 I paid $159.00 + S$H
Things I like about the Scent-Lok Ultra-Light Savanna coveralls Hunting Outerwear: I needed light coveralls for early season, but I also wanted them big enough to fit over my cold weather coveralls. So far this season I have been very happy with the Savanna coveralls, they fit just the way I wanted them to and they breath very well. I have noticed as I walk in and out of my stand that I am seeing more wildlife including several deer and two coyotes. I believe the Scent-Lok technology greatly decreases the chance of being winded by game. I now am seeing more down wind action from my stand also which proves to me how effective they have been in containing my scent. I would reccomend the Scent-Lok Savannas with a Scent-Lok head cover to anyone, the ClimbaFlex material seems to be very durable. The coveralls conviently store within themselves until you're ready to put them on, the perfect early season coveralls!
What I don't like about the Scent-Lok Ultra-Light Savanna coveralls: I would like to see more metal zippers, most of the manufacturers are using the plastic/nylon type zippers. I have had better luck with REAL metal zippers, for the price of todays gear we should have good zippers!
Hunting Outerwear Ultra-Light Savanna coveralls quality: Other than my pet peave with metal zippers, overall I would rate the Scent-Lok Savannas a solid 8 out of 10. The ClimbaFlex material has been both durable and breatable, there is plenty of pocket space and the self storage bag on the back can easiely double as a hot pad holder.
Ultra-Light Savanna coveralls summary: If you have been looking for an early season set of coveralls and have looked these over, I would say go for it!
