The heavy-duty 700 series is capable of catching tuna, sailfish and marlin on 40-lb. test line, and the 400 series doubles for heavy freshwater and light saltwater applications. 1-piece forged-aluminum frames resist saltwater corrosion. Aluminum side-plates and a precision aluminum spool keep the weight light. Super Stopper? one-way roller bearing system has no backplay for instant hooksets. Shimano? Variable Brake System? helps control backlashes; adjustable mechanical weights provide the control you need. 3 bearings (2 ball plus 1 roller) offer smooth casts and retrieves. The levelwind and top cross-support have been removed from the CT700S and CT400S to give surf casters and live-bait fishermen the line control they need.
