These high-performance reels feature super-light graphite spools that cast farther and are less likely to backlash. 500 series has double dogs for anti-reverse safety. Four stainless steel reinforcing side-plate rings and unbreakable side-plate rings and unbreakable side-plates for strength. Stainless steel and graphite construction, hard-polished stainless brake discs and other features produce the most corrosion-resistant reels made. 2 stainless steel ball bearings. 25 to 40% lighter than similar reels. "J" series reel has an extra support post to stand up to severe torque--great for chunking or long range fishing. They're some of the most versatile reels on the rip.
