Simms Introduces New Wading Boots and Sandals for ’04

Fishing Gear - Simms

Simms- (Bozeman, Mont.)—Continuing on the path of innovation and quality, Simms, the Bozeman based producer of high quality fishing waders, boots, apparel and accessories is introducing a new wading boot and three new sandals to round out the 2004 footwear line.

The new L2 Wading Boot, South Fork Sandal, Skiff Sandal and Keen® River Sandal offer a wide range of footwear protection for any angling need.

L2 Wading Boot

The L2 was developed by one of the top footwear designers in the outdoor industry using elements from climbing, hiking and water sports technology to produce a boot that is durable, lightweight and comfortable. Simms’ L2 Wading Boot features lightweight synthetic leather and mesh, and a neoprene gusseted tongue for the upper. The durability is enhanced through the use of well-placed rubberized leather mudguards at the toe and heel. The footbed is designed to provide a stable platform, cushioning, stability, and pressure dissipation. The L2 Wading Boots were developed with support and comfort in-mind and are perfect for long days on the river.

Simms’ L2 Wading Boots are offered in felt, studded felt and AquaStealth® models. Each model is offered in sizes 5-14. MSRP is $109.95 (felt sole), $129.95 (studded felt), and $139.95 (AquaStealth®). The AquaStealth includes Simms Replacement Screw Studs to allow for ues with or without studs.

South Fork and Skiff Sandal

The South Fork and Skiff Sandals are designed using the same upper featuring a neoprene foot bra and adjustable webbing to allow for secure and comfortable fit. The South Fork Sandal is available in a grey felt sole while the Skiff Sandal features a Vibram® non-marking sole, perfect for boat use.

Both the South Fork and Skiff Sandals are offered in sizes 5-13. MSRP is $59.95.

The Simms Keen® River Sandal

Also new to the Simms 2004 footwear line is the Simms Keen® River Sandal. The Keen River Sandal offers the most technically advanced angling footwear design on the market. Keen’s anti-slip, anti-odor H2O grip rubber compound coupled with a felt sole provide maximum slip resistance and stability while wading. The foot bed is created with a molded radial edge to help grip wet terrain and is anatomically molded to provide maximum comfort and cushion for long days. The toe and heel are designed with reinforced action zones to help prevent wear. The Keen River Sandal offers a heavy-duty 1,000 denier ballistic polyester webbing strap system that dries quickly and provides maximum ventilation. The heavy-duty toe bumper protects feet from sharp rocks, logs and other under-water obstacles.

Simms Keen River Sandal is offered in sizes 7-13. MSRP is $89.95.

Simms’ products are sold nationally and internationally at specialty fly-fishing stores. For more information about Simms Fishing Products, visit www.simmsfishing.com.
