Leupold Wind River & Cascades Series Binoculars Now Available with Advantage Timber® HD™ Camo PatternLeupold Wind River- BEAVERTON, Ore. – New Leupold® Wind River Cascades Series camouflage binoculars feature Advantage Timber® HD™ patterned armor to provide added concealment for hunters in wooded settings. A center focus, roof prism binocular, the Cascades Series camouflage models are available in 8x42mm and 10x42mm magnification levels. A new Cascades Series feature for 2004—the center focus dial mounted lockable diopter adjustment—puts all the controls at the user’s fingertips and keeps the focus setting secure against accidental bumps. “Our Cascades Series camouflage binoculars offer woodland hunters the concealment benefits of the popular Advantage Timber HD pattern, which has proven effective in the fall, winter or spring,” said Mike Slack, marketing communications manager for Leupold. “In addition, the Cascades’ in-line design makes them trim, lightweight and a real pleasure to use in the field. And, like all Leupold Wind River binoculars, they are affordable yet rugged and completely waterproof.” Cascades Series camouflage binoculars also feature fully multi-coated lenses and magnesium fluoride-coated BAK4 prisms for a bright, crisp image. The 8x42mm model weighs 22.9 ounces and is 5.5 inches long. The 10x42mm model weighs 23.1 ounces and also measures 5.5 inches in length. Each model has generous eye relief and twist-up eyecups designed to make use comfortable and easy with or without eyeglasses, even over extended viewing periods. Other key features of the Cascades Series camouflage binoculars: Linear field of view: 34.1 feet at 100 yards for 8x42mm model, 26.7 feet at 100 yards for 10x42mm model. Close focus distance: 9.9 feet for both models. Filled with nitrogen and sealed against moisture – completely waterproof. Shock-absorbing rubber armor provides extra protection and helps improve the hands’ grip on the binocular in wet weather. Ergonomic, well-balanced body design makes the binocular comfortable and easy to hold, even during prolonged viewing. Each model comes with case, lens covers and padded neck strap. Like all Leupold Wind River products, the new Cascade Series camouflage binoculars sport the Green Ring™, which guarantees they are wilderness ready and have passed stringent tests for optical quality, rough use and absolute waterproof performance.
