TMA, the Treestand Manufacturer’s Association, sets strict guidelines that treestand manufacturers must meet to be certified. TMA certified stands are tested at twice their stated weight capacity. Along with the weight testing these stands undergo a repetitive load test that can include up to 10,000 cycles. When purchasing any treestand, make sure you purchase a quality product by looking for the TMA label. If it does not carry the TMA logo, chances are it has not been put to the ultimate test.
