Wasp-Mechanical Broadheads

Release

JAK-HAMMER SST: When it comes to reliable performance in a mechanical broadhead, nothing comes close to the WASP Jak-Hammer SST. As with all WASP SST broadheads, the Jak-Hammer features a pre-aligned, Stainless Smart Tip (SST). The edges of the Trocar, Smart Tip are factory -aligned with the rise of the three stainless steel blades creating a straight cutting path that opens a gapping wound channel, ensuring maximum penetration. The three surgically sharp stainless steel blades fold forward in flight and are retained by an O-ring. Blades deploy on impact and fold back to a cutting diameter of 1-3/4 inches on the 100 and 125 grain Jak-Hammers (1-1/4 inches on the 75 grain). The Jak-Hammer SST also has a unique feature which allows for target practice without damage to the broadhead or blades. When blades are in the forward flight position, take Spider Wire™ fishing line or thin copper wire and put 6 to 8 wraps around the outside of the forward notches. This prevents the blades from deploying, even when shot into high density foam targets.

JAK-HAMMER SELECT-A-CUT SST

The latest innovation from WASP adds versatility to this already popular mechanical broadhead. For the first time, bowhunters can match the cutting diameter of their hunting head to the situation, without having to change blades or broadheads. The Jak-Hammer Select-A-Cut SST offers a choice between 1-1/2 inch or 1-3/4 inch of cutting diameter. By simply rotating the Select-A-Cut washing the three stainless steel blades will open to either setting. The washer has been machined with two different beveled edges to stop blades at the preferred cutting diameter.
