Warn Industries Launches Innovative Snowmobile Winch

Hunting Gear - Snowmobile Winches

Hunting Gear - Warn Industries, best known for its automotive and ATV self-recovery winches and accessories, is venturing into the snowmobile market with the introduction of the new SnoWinch 1.5. The industry's first portable snowmobile recovery system, SnoWinch 1.5 packs 1,500 lbs. of pulling power to get a sled out of trouble and back on the trail.

The system comes complete with all the necessary accessories and equipment riders need to use the winch on a battery-powered snowmobile, including: integrated mounting plate with fairlead and handle; remote with 10' lead; two D-shackles; 8' and 25' recovery straps; and a Quick Connect plug for easy access to the battery power source.

"Off-road enthusiasts recognize the WARN brand and the quality winches and accessories we provide to the market," said Karl Christensen, general manager of Warn Industries' Powersports Division. "Now snowmobile riders can take along a WARN self-recovery product on their sleds when they venture out on the trails. We expect SnoWinch to be very popular with enthusiasts who want the peace of mind that comes with carrying a recovery system."

Facing a recovery situation, a snowmobile rider can rescue the sled by: taking the SnoWinch 1.5 out of its custom WARN carry bag; attaching the winch to the front or rear of the sled using the D-shackles and 8' strap; connecting the winch to the battery power leads; fastening the 25' recovery strap to an anchor point, such as a tree or another sled; connecting the synthetic winch rope to the recovery strap; attaching the remote control, and winching the snowmobile out of trouble.

In addition, the SnoWinch 1.5 system can be configured to pull the sled from the front or rear and comes with a 1-year limited warranty. When not in use, the system stores easily in a custom WARN carry bag. The entire kit weighs just 15 pounds.

The SnoWinch 1.5 system includes:

WARN SnoWinch with a .4 hp motor, 3-stage planetary gear train for superior performance and reliability, disk brake, and clutch lever that allows easy gear train engagement/disengagement for freespooling of the winch rope.

40' of 5/32" synthetic rope that is lightweight, durable, and easy to handle. Hook with clasp and hook strap included.

Integrated mounting plate complete with a synthetic hawse fairlead to reduce wear on the winch rope, two D-Shackles, plus 8' and 25' recovery straps.

Hand-held remote control with 10' lead and contactor pack.

WARN storage bag for complete portability.

1-year limited warranty.
