Archery Research Introduces The 2005 AR With The New Ram Plus™ One CamHunting Gear - Archery Research, manufacturer of high quality, high performance compound bows, introduces a line of performance bows outfitted with the new Ram Plus™ single-cam. The new Ram Plus Archery Research (AR) bows do things that no single-cam bow has done before. The Ram Plus cam is designed with one primary goal: to produce nock travel that is so level they could actually publish the test data. Most companies claim their bows have level nock travel, but only AR actually shows you. At 29 inches of draw, the Ram Plus will produce a maximum vertical deviation in nock travel of less than one tenth of an inch. That’s roughly the thickness of a credit card. Level nock travel produces forgiving arrow flight and easier tuning. Both of these qualities are highly sought after by today’s gear-savvy bowhunters. The cam is very smooth with a draw length that is adjustable using six draw length modules from 25 to 31 inches and the archer can set the bow’s letoff at either 65% or 80%. The AR line is composed of three handle platforms: the AR- 31, AR-34 and AR-37. The numbers designate each bow’s axle-to-axle length. The Ram Plus cam is available on all three of these models. The brace height and IBO speed rating of the AR-37 Ram Plus, for example, is 6 ¾ inches and 303 to 311 fps. Since it’s inception, all Archery Research bows have featured a pivoting limb pocket system. The pockets incorporate specifically formulated rubber inserts for superior limb fit and vibration dampening along with pinned half rounds for precise limb alignment and accuracy. Other options for 2005 are competition colors on the AR -34 and AR-37 RAM Plus Cam™ and RAM and a Half™ Cam models to complement the Mossy Oak® New Break Up™ hunting models.
