Streamlight Introduces The Strion™ Rechargeable Flashlight The Convenience of an Ultra-Compact Aluminum Rechargeable Light for Outdoor Enthusiasts

Hunting Gear- Streamlight

Hunting Gear- Streamlight, Inc., a manufacturer of high-performance flashlights for outdoor enthusiasts, has introduced its newest compact rechargeable flashlight— the Strion™. The Strion features the newest benchmark in rechargeable technology - a lithium ion battery, which delivers unparalleled power in an ultra-compact size.

Weighing less than a third of a pound and measuring less than 5.5 inches long, the Strion brings together the conveniences of a small flashlight with the power and brightness of a larger light. According to Streamlight President Brad Penney, "Outdoor enthusiasts rely on flashlights to light their way through dimly lit trails, to illuminate their campsites and for tracking game. This pocket size flashlight will fit easily into gear bags, backpacks or bellypacks without forcing users to choose between their flashlight or other outdoor necessities."

This high-performance light features a 12,000 candlepower xenon gas-filled bi-pin bulb and offers momentary and constant on switching to give users flexibility in operation. "The Strion offers users a variety of safety features - a spare bulb is stored in the tailcap ensuring that hikers and hunters will never be stranded in the dark because of a broken bulb," commented Penney. "Another great safety feature is the momentary on mode. Outdoorsman can quickly alert others to their presence by pressing in the push button tailcap in succession three times for quick bursts of light. This can help attract rescuers or merely alert other hunters of their proximity."

"Streamlight has an impressive history as pioneers in rechargeability. Each new benchmark in rechargeable technology reduces the size and weight of the flashlights using the new technology," stated Penney. "The Strion is the first Streamlight to feature the lithium ion rechargeable battery, giving users seventy continuous minutes of power between charges." The Strion includes a clamp-style charge holder with a digital control circuit that prevents overcharge and offers an AC/DC charger for both home and car charging convenience. Rapid charge time is 2.5 hours.

Suited for the rigors of outdoor activities, the Strion is made of virtually indestructible anodized machined aircraft aluminum. The Strion retails for $149.95 and includes a limited lifetime warranty on the body and switch (excluding bulb) and a one-year manufacturer's warranty on the battery and charger.

Headquartered in Eagleville, PA, Streamlight, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-performance lighting equipment for professional fire fighting, law enforcement, industrial, automotive, and outdoor applications.
