St Croix Legend Bass Casting And Spinning Reels

Fishing Gear - St. Croix

Fishing Gear - Designed for every possible bass fishing application, St. Croix introduces its new casting and spinning fishing rod series: Legend Tournament Bass. Featuring 15 models of technique-specific high-performance fishing rods, each model is labeled for today’s most popular bass lures and techniques, from pitching and flipping into heavy cover to splashy presentations with top-water poppers.

“We’ve designed these specialized fishing rods to help bass anglers improve their success,” says Jeff Schluter, St. Croix’s Vice President of Marketing. “Legend Tournaments feature IPC (Integrated Poly Curve) and ART (Advanced Reinforcing Technology) blanks, top-shelf components and super-grade cork handles, plus stunning graphics and workmanship, at prices around $200 a fishing rod.We believe this is a winning formula.”

The complete Legend Tournament Bass lineup includes: Sniper Spinnerbait, Jerkbait, Jig-N-Worm,Top Water, Drop Shot (casting),Teaser, Sweeper Spinnerbait, Slop-N-Frog, Carolina Rig, Big Jig, Pitchin’, Flippin’, Skippin’, Finesse and Drop Shot (spinning).

Legend Tournament Bass fishing rods, handcrafted in Park Falls,Wisconsin, feature highly refined SCIV graphite blanks that incorporate St. Croix’s exclusive Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology and Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART). IPC-engineered mandrels create a superior blank by providing a more uniform wall thickness compared to traditional compound tapered mandrels – eliminating all transitional points of weakness on the blank. The IPC mandrel’s continuous taper increases blank smoothness, because there are no drastic taper changes.

ART is St. Croix’s proprietary design for strengthening the fishing rod blank without increasing weight or diameter. ART features a super-thin layer of exotic, unidirectional carbon fibers wrapped around the blank, instead of along the blank like the rest of the fibers. These unidirectional fibers increase the hoop strength of the blank by preventing it from deforming or “ovaling” under a severe load such as a powerful hook-set.ART increases a blank’s ability to resist ovaling. This technology also adds crush protection from accidents, such as stepping on the fishing rod.

Legend Tournament Bass casting and spinning fishing rods feature cobalt blue metallic blanks with matching blue thread and satin silver metallic trim wraps.Additional features include: Fuji Alconite Concept Guide System with chrome frames, super-grade cork handles, Fuji ECS reel seats/frosted silver hood on casting models, Fuji DPS fishing reel seats/frosted silver hoods on spinning rod models and machined-aluminum wind checks matched to the hood color.

St. Croix Fishing Rod is a family-owned manufacturer of high-performance graphite and fiberglass fishing rods located in Park Falls,Wisconsin. The company offers a complete line of premium,American-made fly, spinning and casting fishing rods under their Legend Elite, Legend Ultra,Avid Series, Imperial, Premier and other trademarks through a global distribution network of full-service fishing tackle dealers.
