Zeiss Extends 42mm Riflescope Line with the New Victory 2.5-10x42

Hunting Gear

Carl Zeiss Sports Optics adds a new 42mm riflescope to its state-of-the- art Victory line with the introduction of the 2.5-10x42. Available in two models – the Victory Diavari with non-illuminated reticles and Victory Varipoint with illuminated reticles – the 2.5-10x42 gives hunters a versatile, lightweight, high-performance scope that is ideal for numerous types of hunting conditions.

From stalking game to hunting in mountainous terrain or shooting from a tree stand, the size and power range of the Victory 2.5-10x42 makes it an all-purpose scope that is compatible with the most popular hunting rifles on the market today.

Due to the increased demand for this extended magnification range, the Victory 2.5-10x42 replaces the Victory Diavari 3-9x42. Zeiss’ optical engineers succeeded in keeping the weight of the 2.5-10x42 down to just a few ounces more than the Victory 1.5-6x42 and both are practically identical in length and feature Zeiss’ Advanced Optics System (AOS) technology.

The discerning hunter will also notice an exceptionally bright image thanks to the Zeiss T* multi-coating with increased transparency in the blue spectral range. The 42mm objective also provides a relatively large exit pupil of 5.25 mm at 8x magnification which also contributes to the brightness and increased detail seen through this scope into the twilight hours.

Both the Diavari and Varipoint models are available with or without a rail system. The Diavari model is available with reticles 4, 8 and 11 and the Varipoint with illuminated reticles 0, 54 and 56.

All models feature a 30mm one-piece tube and eye relief of 3.5 inches. Like all Zeiss riflescopes, the Victory 2.5-10x42 is nitrogen filled, recoil proof and water tight to ISO 90222-81. An industry-leading lifetime transferable warranty insures the performance and function of the riflescope from generation to generation. Suggested retail price is $1664 and $2108 for Varipoint.
