Teton Fly Reels-Tioga

Press Release

The Tioga was created to fill the need for a popular priced, quality reel. Like its older brother, the Teton, the Tioga is machined from a solid block of space age aluminum alloy.

It is anodized with a durable black finish to resist corrosion and abrasion, and utilizes the same patented drag system that has made the Teton a worldwide favorite.

The reel is engineered to take advantage of modern mass production technology enabling us to offer the Tioga at a popular price. With more than two years of heavy use on the water, the Tioga has proven to have the same rugged reliability as our Teton model.

Changing from right- to left-hand retrieve can be accomplished in seconds, as can changing option spare spools. The Tioga is suitable for use in both fresh and saltwater. In saltwater, it is always advisable to thoroughly rinse the reel in warm, fresh wter to prevent the buildup of salt deposits. An occasional drop of light oil applied to the spool bushing, and backing of the drag tension when not in use will also extend the life of your reels.

The Tioga is available in six sizes to accommodate all fishing situations. Extra and large arbor spools are also available as an option. Tioga Reels are available to Dealers in Black. The special anniversary edition is available to Consumers in Gunsmoke.

New Garmin® Fishfinder 120 Boasts Big Picture, Small Price Tag

Press Release

OLATHE, Kan. — Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced the Fishfinder 120, an ideal sonar for the recreational angler. The Fishfinder 120 builds on the highly successful Fishfinder 80 as an innovative and reasonably priced sonar device. The Fishfinder 120 was formally introduced at the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST), held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

"The Fishfinder 120 is a perfect balance of functionality and affordability," said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s director of marketing. "Weekend anglers have been asking for a quality built, feature-packed sonar unit with a large, easy-to-view display — that doesn’t break the bank. That’s exactly what the Fishfinder 120 delivers."

The Fishfinder 120 features a robust 240x128 pixel, four-level grayscale display in a 4.5-inch diagonal screen, making it one of the largest displays and highest resolution fishfinders in its class. The display takes full advantage of Garmin’s patented Depth Control Gain® (DCG) and its See-Thru® technology, helping anglers determine bottom hardness and locate fish in difficult hiding spots, like thermoclines and underwater structure. And at the touch of a button, the Fishfinder 120 lets anglers adjust the range, gain, and zoom functions quickly and easily. The Fishfinder 120 also features Garmin’s innovative 360-degree swivel mount and quick release mechanism to increase utility and security.

Also included with the unit is a temperature sensing 200-kHz transducer, which transmits at 800 watts (peak-to-peak) and 100 watts (RMS), to a maximum depth of 600 feet. The patented transducer design allows for mounting on either the transom or trolling motor.

Other specifications for the Fishfinder 120: Display Type: FSTN, four-level grayscale Backlighting for display and keypad: three-level adjustable incandescent Viewing area: 3.3"W x 3.3"H (4.5" diagonal) Unit Dimensions: (WxHxD): 6.1" x 4.9" x 2.6" Internal memory backup for user settings with power disconnected Graphic whiteline provides clear image of bottom hardness and structure Alarms: shallow water, deep water, battery voltage, and fish Adjustable range, gain, zoom, and scroll speed Waterproof design to IPX-7 standards: submersible in three feet of water for up to 30 minutes The Fishfinder 120 is available now at a suggested retail price of $127.99. It will ship standard with a transducer, power cable, swivel mounting bracket, and owner’s manual. The Fishfinder 120 is also sold as a portable unit, which comes with a power case and suction-mount transducer.

Bass Pro

Crankin' Stick Casting Rod

Fishing Rods

$59.99 at the Bass Pro Shops just a full moon back.

When I rear back on this kid it sets the bait like nothing I've ever seen before. I'm not just setting the hook I'm planting it for next year. There are a lot of big bass out there that will testify to that. The best part of all is the tip is as loose as my buddies sister. All three of my fishing partners are talking about getting one for them selves. They've watched me catch some of the biggest fish they've ever saw with this rod.

BPS doesn't offer them in a heavier weight than the Medium action. Big mistake on their part. I guess other fisherman out there just don't catch the size of fish I do. The guys down in the yard said I should be fishing for a living. I guess it's just a gift I have.

It's well made, I'll probably get a good year out of it before it gives in. Most rods I've owned give in after half a season just from some of the fights they have to go through.

I do good with any rod I have. I'm sure this one helps a little. You just have to know how to land them. A few nights back I caught one that would have broken most rods. Some of the guys who were congratulating me said it was one of the biggest they ever saw. I told them I'd say it was middle of the road.

Gunnison Float Tube

Fishing Tackle

I piecked it up for $99.99 at Dicks. I shopped for a while and just couldn't pass up the price.

This is quite a step up from my first generation tube that although patched held up for years. I guess the best thing is the fly patch right there where it's needed so I don't have to fumble with my vest.

So far so good no complaints yet.

It's really well made and even has a inflatable back rest for added support. This is like a Cadillac compared to the one I bought through Cabella's years back.

Even I knew these things had come as far as they had I would have bought a new one years ago.

Gun Safes

My husband bought this from a friend of his, and he would not tell me how much he paid, so I assume it was expensive.

EVERYTHING! I didn't realize how valuable this unit was until our home was robbed while we were asleep.

I have to say that there is nothing that I dislike about this safe.

I got this information from a website: • UL Listed burglary resistant TL-15 (RE6528) and TL-30 (RF6528). • Fire endurance: tested at an independent facility in a gas furnace at temperatures up to 1850° F, for a period of 2 hours. Interior temperature did not exceed 350° F. • Massive 3 ½" body and 5 ¾" door • Group IIM lock protected by a drill resistant hardplate. Spy proof key locking dial provided on LS & LG models. Front read key locking dials provided on LT model. • 10 1½" diameter chrome plated locking bolts.

My family was asleep after returning from vacation. This safe is located in our basement gameroom. I was always afraid that my husband kept his guns and hunting rifles in the closets and our son was becoming curious (he was 2 at the time.) I talked my husband into getting a safe or cabinet and he purchased this one. Not until we woke the next morning did we find that our basement window was broken and our computer was gone. There were marks on this safe as if someone had attempted to break into it, with no success. If they had been able to get in, I am afraid of what would have happened.

Optics

I bought my new unit over the net at a company named scopes and more. Don't tell my wife, but the scope cost just a little over $700.00.

The lighting is incredible. I took it out to a friends farm the other night coupled with my .270 bdl and we were able to shoot almost until complete darkness.

I miss the view offered by my last scope which was a wide view. I guess the old adage is correct, you've got to give up something to get something.

It's sealed tight and I'll be real surprised if I ever have a problem with this one foggy up like some of mine have in the past.

I'm very happy with the new scope. It's placement is awesome, and the lighting is the best I've experienced in a scope I've owned.
