Hunter Education Course Offered In Limon- Colorado DNR

Hunting- A hunter education class is being offered to the public at no charge at the Limon Community Building August 17 – 19. A person must attend all sessions to be eligible to take final test. Warren Cummings of the Colorado Division of Wildlife will teach the class. The course teaches how to handle a firearm, outdoor survival skills, wildlife identification, ethics, game care and hunter safety.

Anyone may attend, however, due to the amount of material covered during the course, it is suggested that participants be 10 years of age or older.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1949 who wishes to hunt in Colorado, must pass a hunter education course in order to purchase a hunting license.

All equipment and materials will be furnished (including firearms and ammunition).

Pre-register for the class at the Colorado State Patrol Office, 131 “C” Avenue in Limon from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Workbooks and reading assignments will be available upon registration or first day of class.
