Redhead Extreme Elements Hunting Coat Parka

Hunting Gear

The Redhead Extreme Elements Hunting Coat Parka just happens to be the grand prize of our current review contest. This isn’t just a hunting coat; it’s more of a hunting coat system. It is truly waterproof, windproof and breathable meaning you won’t be chilled by your own sweat. The Extreme Elements Parka is Gore-Tex rated for wet weather which simply means you will not get wet while wearing this jacket. How can Gore-Tex make such a claim you ask, well this jacket was tested in the Gore-Tex storm chamber undergoing 22” of rain per hour. The Gore-Tex storm chamber features not only drenching overhead rainfall, but also the nastiest of all rain that being wind-driven. If a garment survives this type of treatment it is given the Gore-Tex Extreme Wet Weather seal of approval. Some of the many features of this jacket are: Zip-off sleeves on the inner jacket to create both a vest and reversible jacket. A removable insulated hood is also provided which can be attached to either the outer shell or inner liner depending on the hunting conditions. Seven inch gear pockets are included on the hunting jacket which has both top and side entry. The side entry of the pockets are lined to act as a hand warmer which is a nice added touch and goes to show how well this garment has been laid out.

Insulation for this hunting coat is provided by Thinsulate with 200 grams of Thinsulate in the body of the hunting coat and 150 grams in the sleeves. The slightly lower amount is provided in the sleeves to provide greater movement and flexibility. The 200 grams of Thinsulate in the body will keep you warm and some of the harshest weather without you having to wear several layers underneath it.

Camo for this hunting coat is your choice of either Realtree Hardwoods Green or Mossy Oak New Breakup. No matter which of the camo options you choose you’ll be making a great selection.

You can enter your chance to win this great Hunting coat by submitting a review or buy the Hunting coat outright at Bass Pro. The Extreme Elements Hunting Parka is on sale Right now for $199 with 2XL and 3XL sizes selling for $219. Both of the prices are $50.00 off their original price.
