I had originally gone to look over some of the guns when I acquired about it. I see them on the Internet for $400 so I wouldn't say I got the best deal in the world/ My wife had been on me for a couple of years now to get the guns locked up. When I was their age I was told never to touch the guns or faces the consequences, but she worries that might not be enough. It's thin enough to put in our townhouse closet putting one more barrier between the little ones and danger. It's not a bad looking unit either. For the next few years it's gonna stay in the closet. Just a minor complaint is I wish it had a key entry or larger digits. There isn't a lot of light in a closet and find myself holding a flashlight everytime I need in the safe. At 275 pounds you know she's pretty solid. The door is really thick I guess to keep people from trying to pry it open. I do feel better now that we have it and am hearing a lot less nagging about the guns. I feel strong we'd never ahve an issue even though it does add a lot of piece of mind and one less thing to worry about each day. 3 Unknown BSA Catseye Optics On sale right now for $119.00 at WWW.Scopenmore.com. I got mine a few months back from them and that's the best price I found anywhere. I hunt in an area with thick cover and lots of evergreens. Not to mention that it always seems to be overcast or raining everytime I make it out. The cross hairs on the scope actual light up. It's amzing how easy the sights are to see when they light up. I've been target practicing from an old bench at our camp and late into the evening I can still place them in there well. It's kind of scary knowing there's a battery in there. I hope that nothing ever goes wrong with it to screw up a day of hunting. I'm sure the makers probably have it cover. It's jsut something you think about. This is my first BSA in fact I don't know a lot of people that have them. It gives a pretty good sight picture. I've seen better and worse if it matters. The scope isn't top of the line, it's mine though and I plan on making the most of it. It's no secret deer are moving the most right at day and night break. I think he paid about 50 dollars for it. I'm not sure where he bought it. We wanted something we could take with us anywhere to catch those out of the way places that no one else can get, or for that matter would want to sometimes. My Brother and I are both ex football players and even though it was a four man raft by the time we squeezed in there we were getting to know each other pretty good. If you throw in a couple day packs and a few errant casts by my brother there jsut wasn't a lot of room left. For an inflatable raft it seemed well built. I did find myself wondering what would happen to us if for some reason it popped. We just had to get used to the thought it was pvc not metal. Depends on what your looking for. It's real portable and inflates pretty quickly using a good pump.
