Mathews Switchback Hunting BowsI have had this bow for an entire year and am in the process of selling it. The bow is well made as all Mathews bows seem to be. I have been shooting Matthew's for years now and have several complaints that are relevant to the Switchback. For one I do not like the handles on any of their bows including this one. I could never get the same exact placement shot to shot. Even when I competed I would immediately replace the handle with an aftermarket streamlined handle. Another problem with this bow is that the string is very long and will stretch several times if the bow is shot very frequently. This is not something I want to deal with all season. The string suppressors on this bow were good for about a thousand shots and then they started to come apart. The draw cycle on the Switchback is Very good and the bow is pretty quiet. I know the Mathews-Bowtech-Pse- etc. debate is like Ford and Chevy but I will not own another Matthew's until they find a way to shorten the string and bring everything more in center. ( everything is offset to the left of the riser).
