Press Release

Top-Of-The-Line Binocular With Premium Digital Imaging and Video Capabilities.Overland Park, KS — The era of the one-dimensional binocular has faded over the horizon during the course of the last year as the industry has experienced a shift to digital versions.

This fall, Bushnell Performance Optics is unveiling the digital Bushnell Instant Replay. This threein- one technology-wonder is one of the first devices of its kind to combine a powerful optical binocular, a high-quality digital camera and a video-capturing unit. The Instant Replay not only provides crystal-clear binocular magnification, but high-resolution digital images and video, which are easily downloadable to a computer.

True to its name, the Instant Replay allows users to capture, record and view action in a 30- second continuous video loop. The Instant Replay will store up to five 30-second video clips or 50 images at high resolution or 150 images at low resolution, all of this with the 16 MB compact flash card that comes with the unit. The device is equipped with the technology to take digital-still images with a two mega-pixel resolution, allowing for quality image capturing and printing capabilities.

The pop-up color LCD screen allows users to view images and videos“This product is easy to use and has applications for a wide variety of outdoor hobbies and interests,” said John Mullet, product manager for Bushnell Performance Optics. “Whether it is a little league soccer game, a magnificent view or an incredible play at a sporting event, the Instant Replay allows everyday users to capture some of the most meaningful and exciting events in their lives to share with family and friends.”

The Instant Replay combines a binocular with BaK-4 (barium crown glass), and multi-coated lenses with a high-quality digital camera featuring .35 mega pixel movie clips/15fps for 30 seconds, 2.1 mega pixel still photographs and 16 MB internal memory. The Instant Replay is also compact and easy-to-use. The buttons are clearly labeled on the unit and user friendly. On the right side of the device are controls for turning it on and off as well as moving from video/movie to still-image functionality. There are controls under the LCD screen that allow for easy viewing of the pictures and movies, as well as buttons for adjusting the sharpness and magnification of images. The LCD screen shows the captured images in full image view in addition to thumbnails. With plenty of room for storage, plus memory upgrade capabilities through the compact flash card (16 MB compact flash card is included with purchase), the Instant Replay is ideal for sports fans, parents, coaches, outdoor enthusiasts and travelers, giving users instantaneous access to video and images captured from any distance.

The Instant Replay uses two-AA batteries and includes a neck strap, carrying case, a USB cable port and software for downloading capabilities. Suggested retail price: $599.99.For more information, visit the Bushnell Web site at instantaneously.
