Sig Arms The New Sauer 202 Rifle

Press Release

Traditional Craftsmanship with Take-Down Feature Exeter, NH - SIGARMS Inc., representing J. P. Sauer & Sohn GmbH, is proud to announce a new model in the respected Sauer 202 bolt-action rifle line. The Sauer 202 Take-Down rifle features the quality of old world style craftsmanship combined with the latest technology in quick break down rifles with caliber interchangeability. This system offers the hunter interested portability and convenience in air travel a superior package consistent with the Sauer reputation of quality and appearance.

Barrel exchange couldn’t be easier by merely removing the fore-end, dropping the bolt all the way back with the rifle barrel vertical and pulling the barrel out. All parts connecting the barrel with the bolt, action and fore-end are of steel. Six bolts connect the fore-end and the action. The barrel and the action fit together using a proprietary key-lock system. The barrel and action system delivers exceptional performance in accuracy and strength.

Calibers can easily be interchanged within the caliber family requiring no additional parts (The .375 H&H will require a specific magazine.) Changing from standard calibers to magnum calibers requires a change of barrel, bolt, and magazine.

The highly figured Turkish walnut stocks are hand rubbed to a satin finish with a Monte Carlo stock and rosewood tip on the fore-end. Round or flat bolt handles are also available. Current caliber offerings include the .300 Win. Mag. and the .375 H&H, with more caliber choices available after August 2003. Suggested Retail Pricing ranges from $3,486 to $6,379.
