Kolpin products can turn your ATV into the ultimate hunting machine

Release

Because it is so versatile, most hunters use their ATV as a pack mule. They strap things to the racks, such as a gun case, bow holder, coolers, tree stand and storage bags to name but a few things. These necessities take up a lot of room. In the past, ATVer’s have used primitive methods like garbage bags to transport extra clothes or a paper bag to hold a thermos and lunch causing the hunter’s ATV to look like a chuck wagon on a cross-country trek.

It did not take long to realize there had to be a better way to transport your valuables without the worry of damage. Wouldn’t it be great to use every inch of rack space and parade around in camouflage style? Your quad would be the talk of hunting camp and your cronies could only wish to have such an efficient package on their ATV. Just think, a top-notch gun boot, camo seat cover, and extra-large front and rear camouflage cargo bags. The advantages of keeping your gun in a well-protected gun boot could mean the difference between a wall hanger or just a tall tale. Envision having a place to keep your decoys and still having room for an extra jacket, rain gear and a lunch. The possibilities are limitless; thanks to Kolpin, a manufacturer of after market ATV accessories.

Gun Boot IV and Bracket

The most widely traveled and universally used hard gun case in the world. It is like a cradle...gently but securely holding your valuable gun in it's plush pile lined interior. This handy unit is water tight, accepting and locking virtually all guns with or without scopes. It is an airline-approved case that removes easily for traveling, has formed feet to sit upright and has a handle for easy carrying. This product provided excellent gun protection and sets the standard on ATV gun boots.

The Gun Boot Bracket holds the Gun Boot in place and is equipped with a quick release handle.

The Gun Boot IV Bracket is made of high quality materials and attaches easily to the rack of the ATV with U-bolts, 7/16 nuts and plugged end caps. The rubber-coated handles securely hold the gun boot, which can be adjusted to an up/down position or sideways. This stable unit becomes part of the ATV. The Gun Boot IV and the Gun Boot IV Bracket are sold separately with a suggested retail price of $74.99 Boot and $64.99 Bracket.

The neoprene Gun Boot Skin fits extremely well and helps with camouflaging. Gun Boot Skin.

If you think your gun boot might stick out like a sore thumb, think again. Kolpin designed a Gun Boot Skin to conceal the boot and blend into the surroundings. It is made of neoprene and slides over the boot. Elastic and Velcro tabs hold it in place and it is available in Mossy Oak or Shadow Grass patterns. A drawback to this cover is that while driving along brush or briars, small pull marks were evident after pickers brushed against it. This doesn’t seem to be an extreme problem, but the elastic cover will not hold up to unnecessary abuse. The Gun Boot Skin has a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Seat Cover

Keep your seat concealed and protected with Kolpin's rip-stop nylon ATV Seat Cover. The camouflage seat cover can be attached in seconds over your original ATV seat, just slip it on with its elastic band. It is waterproof and quiet. It comes in two distinctive patterns of camouflage, Mossy Oak and Forest Floor. The cover has a suggested retail price of $19.99.

The x-large rear rack bag has room for all your gear. Rear Cargo Bag (33"x15"x10")

This first rate rack bag is extra-large and fits on the rear rack. Trailering the ATV at speeds of 60mph never posed a problem. The accessory bags and all Kolpin products stayed securely in place. The rear cargo bag attaches to the rack via pull straps and has a padded bottom to protect your gear. Extra added features include a two-way high quality lockable zipper for easy access. The bag is designed to wrap around the rider, providing extra space with side pockets to hold those other odds and ends. It seemed to be watertight with its heavy-duty water-repellent exterior. There were no apparent abrasions even after going through thick brush with lots of briars. The Cargo Bag has a suggested retail price of $49.99.

The front rack bag is padded and offers ample storage room. Front Rack Bag (29"x13"x6")

This handy bag is made of the same high-quality snag resistant material as the Rear Cargo Bag. Again attaching easily with velcro straps and has the easy access locking two-way zipper. The bottom and sides of the bag are fully padded to ensure the protection of your gear. This bag was tested at high speeds and encountered some messy conditions (mud/rain). The inside of the bag stayed dry and our cargo showed no damage. The Front Rack Bag has a suggested retail price of $59.99.

The Kolpin equipped hunting quad. Conclusion.

The Kolpin products are well designed and made for any outdoor adventure. These products help you blend in with the natural surroundings, helping to conceal your ATV. A few suggestions for Kolpin are to add a flap of material over the zippers on all their bags, thus, protecting the zippered area from water and mud. In addition, perhaps adding camouflage ATV fender covers to their product line would leave no reason to look anywhere else for after-market ATV hunting accessories. After installing the Kolpin package, you can be sure the boys at hunting camp will be asking a lot of questions.
