The Pop-n-Tube-The Hottest Topwater Lure.

Product Spotlight

After eight years in production and testing, the "Pop-n-Tube" by Hawg Buster Bait Company has emerged as the most innovative lure of the decade. No other lure combines so many fish attracting concepts as the "Pop-n-Tube." From the easily obtained quick change tails, single hook, hand painted finish, and chip resistant two part epoxy finish, this lure astonishes both young and old alike, as well as the tournament pro.

FACTS:

Think about this for a minute - current top water poppers all have one major design flaw, take the hooks off and instant bobber. How many times have you noticed a swirl at your bait and no bass. Happens frequently. Bass often take bait from the surface by creating a vacuum effect beneath the lure. If the lure resists, the bass stands tail up and heads for the bottom. The swirl at your lure was his tail wash. Frustrating. By designing the "Pop-n-Tube" as close to near neutral buoyancy as possible we have effectively eliminated this problem. The "Pop-n-Tube" lays on the water like an injured bait fish and vacuums from the surface easily. Hook sets are deep, almost automatic. For those practicing catch and release, or tournament anglers we strongly recommend bending the barbs in. BASSIN magazine did a field test in 1995 and found no problems with using only one hook. During the design phase we tested several configurations with two and three hooks. Our findings indicated that additional hooks reduced the effectiveness of the "Pop-n-Tube." On another note: the hook is an Eagle Claw lazor sharp #4, should you need to replace one. It's also the largest possible for the "Pop-n-Tube."

The tail end of the "Pop-n-Tube" is your readily available common every day tube bait, often referred to as a gitzit. Every tackle store carries an assortment in both sizes and colors. Simply cut the tube bait approximately one quarter inch in front of the tails and slide onto the "Pop-n-Tube." We've found the Smoke/Hologram Super Salt Tube to be the most effective color. The Hologram presents the illusion of scales flaking away as the "Pop-n-Tube" moves across the water. One can also experiment with the various plastic dyes or markers currently on the market, color combinations are endless.

The "Pop-n-Tube" surpasses other top water lures even when allowed to lay motionless on the surface. Actually it's never motionless, think about it. The tail is always moving.

Anyone with the ability to cast can make the "Pop-n-Tube" walk, talk, and spit across the surface. It's simply automatic.

Did we mention rattling eyes???
