PSE’S NEW VENOM™ IS A FEEL-GOOD BOW

Press Release

Tucson, AZ – Precision Shooting Equipment, Inc. maker of high quality compound bows and accessories since 1970, introduces the new Venom™ performance bow. When the shot “feels good,” it nearly always turns out well. Feel is that important in archery success. Positive feedback from one shot carries over to the next and soon you are shooting with greater confidence, perfect relaxation, and unflinching accuracy.

PSE’s engineers designed the new Venom™ to produce the right kind of feel. The most obvious feel-good aspect of the Venom™ is its low recoil. The limbs are set at an angle that brings them nearly parallel at full draw. The top limb springs up and bottom limb springs down when you release the string. One limb’s acceleration and deceleration cancels that of the other. You feel only a very slight movement of the bow on release. You don’t need a wrist sling to keep it from jumping out of your relaxed hand because the bow’s recoil is amazingly light. The result is a pleasantly stable “dead” feeling through the shot.

The Venom™ also has a great feeling grip. The one-piece wood grip permits comfortable hand placement in a low to mid-wrist position. Its shape is ideal for torquefree shooting.

The bow’s impressive feel also extends to the new NRG™ cam. This modular single-cam has two additional string posts so draw length is adjustable in 1/2 inch increments with a full 6 inch range (25 to 30 inches). The cam draws smoothly and then settles into a comfortably long let-off valley with the kind of solid back wall that promotes consistency. Let-off is adjustable from 65% to 80% by flipping over the removable draw stop module.

Sims String Leeches come factory-installed on the Venom’s black and white string helping make it quiet despite fast arrow speeds. The IBO speed rating is 305 fps with a forgiving and accurate 7 3/4 inch brace height. The Venom™ is 35 inches long and weighs just 3.8 pounds. Its machined riser looks great in the Mossy Oak® new Obsession™ camouflage. It is solid and stiff, helping to reduce recoil further.

The matched limbs carry the same pattern. The Venom™ finds the ideal balance between accuracy and speed, stability and maneuverability. It is a simple, hard working design with features that come together to produce the perfect feel for accurate shooting. The Venom™ is what a great bow is supposed to look like, and more importantly, to feel like.
