Abel Quality Products - New For 2004 Abel X-Stream Rod and Reel Combo Kits

Manufacturer Spotlight

Three of the most popular sizes of rods for fresh and saltwater anglers are 5-, 8- and 10-weights with matching reels. Those three rod/reel combos will take you into virtually any fishing situation from trout to steelhead/salmon, to bonefish, dorado (mahi mahi) and false albacore. With that in mind, we have produced 5-, 8- and 10-weight rod/reel kits ideally suited for the needs of the fly-fishing newcomer, as an extra outfit for a lodge or for the person who only gets to fish a few days a year . . . yet wants the very best.

Abel X-Stream reels are dynamically balanced with a machined DelrinŽ handle. All other components are the same as our award-winning reels. Black only.

Abel X-Stream rods are 4-piece 100% high modulus graphite utilizing the same easy-to-cast design with fish-lifting capabilities as our regular rods. Hand wrapped, superior components and precision fit.

Rods and reels are also available individually. However, please note the substantial savings when purchased together.

About Abel Quality Products
We're 27 years old now. Founded in 1977 to produce the finest precision-milled aerospace and medical parts, we utilized that same technology when we began making fly reels in 1987.

Since then, our single model of Abel Reel a reel that corresponds to today's Big Game #2 has evolved into six styles (Large Arbor, Big Game, Anti/Reverse, TR, Abel Creek and Abel X-Stream) with some 35 models. As the old cliche' says, "We've come a long way, baby."

Thank you for your support as we help provide the fly-fishing experiences, dreams and memories that last a lifetime. All of us on Team Abel pledge that whatever Abel Quality Products you choose, they will be the very best that our sport has to offer. Thank you . . .
