PrimaLoft® Gloves Get Attention For Warmth & Design Innovation

Press Release

Albany, NY, January 21st, 2004 — PrimaLoft® – Insulation Technology™, found inside the hottest brands, is proud to announce that two of its customers, L.L. Bean and 180°s®, recently received high profile media attention. The L.L. Bean Gore-Tex/PrimaLoft Ski Gloves were tested and approved by The Good Housekeeping Institute and 180°s Gretta Glove insulated with PrimaLoft were voted one of the 25 best products of the year in the December 8, 2003 issue of Fortune 500 "2003 Holiday Gift Guide".

The L.L. Bean Gore-Tex/PrimaLoft Ski Gloves, along with 11 pairs from other brands, were tested for warmth, look, feel and fit by The Good Housekeeping Institute. In the best casual gloves category, the L.L. Bean PrimaLoft gloves performed the best as they stayed warm for over one hour in the Climatology chamber at temperatures of 30°F. The wear testers also rated them "best-looking".

180°s Gretta Gloves were one of 25 design winners selected by Fortune 500 magazine. The gloves, insulated with PrimaLoft, were designed with 180°s Exhale Heating System™ which allows the wearer to breath into the glove to direct warm air into the fingertips, thus warming the hands in seconds.

"It is an honor and great testimony to be recognized for what we do best," said Tom Mendl, Marketing Director, PrimaLoft. "PrimaLoft's unique thermal and aesthetic properties make it possible for companies to be innovative and stand out in their markets."
