BERKLEY® SERIES ONE® FISHING RODS Advanced Blank Design And New Features Added

Press Release

SPIRIT LAKE, IOWA – Berkley’s Series One fishing rods have been the rod of choice for many anglers because of their reliability and performance. The new Series One rods are built 10 percent lighter for improved comfort but maintain the sensitivity to feel every bite and the strength needed to land big fish.

Series One rods incorporate a rod blank of multi-bias laminate IM7 graphite, SS304 rod guides that are 20 times tougher and 55% lighter than conventional aluminum oxide guides. For more sensitivity and strength Berkley has added the concept guide spacing. Design engineers did not stop with state of the art blank design. A performance engineered skeletal reel seat design not only delivers precision lock down but also reduces weight and enhances sensitivity with its direct blank contact. Together these features create a rod with extreme sensitivity and maximum strength.

Eight spinning, six casting and one flipping rods are included in the Series One line-up. Light, medium light and medium spinning reels are available in lengths from 5’6” to 7’. The casting rods range from a 6’ medium model to a 7’ medium heavy. The telescoping flipping rod measures 7’6”.

All Series One rods are one-piece and have a suggested retail price of $109.95 to $119.95.
