New Lowrance Fullsize TFT 256-Color Displays Fish Finders for 2004 Render Genuine All-Light Viewing

Fish Finder Press Release

Fish Finders-TULSA, Oklahoma – Lowrance Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: LEIX), the leader in recreational fish finder, sonar and GPS innovations since 1957, is lending new color performance and affordability to sonar and GPS navigation electronics with new 256-color TFT display technology.

For 2004, Lowrance has unveiled five fullsize sonar fish finder models, touting the new technology in a 5-inch diagonal, 1/4 VGA, 320Vx240H pixel, active matrix TFT transflective display that renders exceptional readability in all light conditions, for extended periods of time, in the widest ranges of heat or cold.

“Lowrance has gone to extremes to develop a TFT display with true viewability in extremes of light and temperature exposures,” said Bob Callaway, vice president of Lowrance marketing. “You enjoy a crisp image display in wide-open sunlight exposure, all day long.

They won’t go dark if overheated, and don’t slow down in the cold.” In addition to producing high-bright color rendition, each display features fluorescent cold cathode backlighting, with adjustable brightness and contrast controls, to suit viewing preferences at night or in low light conditions.

The 2004 models with the new high-res, 5-inch diagonal, 256-color TFT Lowrance display technology (and suggested retail price) are:
