Hunting Gear - Leupold Tripods, Binocular Strap Enhance Optics Use

Hunting Gear - Press Release

BEAVERTON, Ore. – Three new accessories from Leupold® – a full-size tripod, a compact tripod and the X-treme™ Binocular Strap – help hunters and shooters use optics more easily and effectively. The full-size tripod is designed to provide a sturdy, stable platform for glassing in the field or spotting at the range.

It features three-section adjustable legs. The leg system allows multi-angle adjustment and includes fast-action leg locks. Each foot has rubber rotating feet pads for added stability and retractable spikes for added security. A twist lock lever arm and three-way panhead with a mounting plate designed for quick detaching makes it easier to find and follow moving animals.

Other features include a built-in level and a durable carrying case. The full-size tripod weighs 9.31 pounds and collapses to 30 inches in length. Extended length is 65 inches. Designed for portability in the field, Leupold’s compact tripod weighs 43.2 ounces and collapses to a length of 15 inches. Extended length is 31.5 inches. The compact tripod has three-section adjustable legs to provide stability on both flat and uneven surfaces.

The leg system allows multi-angle adjustment, while the foot assembly features rubber feet pads for extra traction. For viewing versatility, the compact tripod is equipped with an adjustable ball head and a lockable, quick-release base. Like the full-size tripod, the compact model has a built-in level and comes with a durable carrying case.

Leupold’s X-treme Binocular Strap is designed to reduce fatigue by relieving the binocular’s weight from the neck and evenly distributing it across the back. The “X”-shaped design of the strap prevents swinging of the binocular, thereby keeping it out of the user’s way. It also helps keep the binocular out of harm’s way in the field, preventing snags on brush, hard knocks on rocks and the like. In keeping the binocular close to the body, the strap ensures that it is close at hand, ready for use in those situations where the viewing opportunity lasts only a moment.

Fast-release clips on the strap allow it to be quickly and easily attached to and detached from the binocular. The X-treme Binocular Strap is made in the U.S.A.
