Hunting Gear - Remington Adds New Series of "Cutting Edge" Field-Ready Knives

Hunting Gear - Press Release

Hunting Knives- Madison, NC – Maintaining its position as a leader in the field of utility and hunting knives, Remington is pleased to announce the following additions for 2004. Non-traditional in design and utilizing high tech materials, the hard-anodized aluminum handled Fixed Blade D-Series hunting Knives, M-Series hunting Folding Knives, and the moderately priced Model 830 Folding hunting Knives bring Remington to the forefront of hunting knife options. Each knife in these series is made in the USA and designed for the end user in mind.

The Remington® D-Series of Fixed Blade Hunting Knives is offered in three rugged, well-designed versions – the D-Series Skinner with easily-sharpened gut hook, featuring a deep belly 3.5- inch blade profile and overall length of 7.62-inches; the 8.38-inch D-Series Clip Point and the D-Series Drop Point with handy 4.3-inch cutting blade and 4-inch blade respectively. All D-Series hunting knives feature 420 HC stainless steel blades etched with the Remington logo and precision machined 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum handle scales with black hard-anodized finish. Each hunting knife is housed in a riveted Kydex® sheath with lash down fixtures and removable belt clip.

The M-Series Folding Hunting Knives offers clip point and drop point blade versions in medium and large frames. Aggressively designed for the discriminating tastes of today’s consumer, these folders are constructed with 440A stainless steel blades with stainless steel pivots and liners. The black matte-finished handles are precision milled from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and feature a stainless steel pocket clip and hi-tech lanyard hole. The medium frame versions have a folded length of 45/16-inches with 3-inch cutting surfaces and the large frame has a 3 3/8-inch blade with an overall folded length of 4 13/16-inches. The hallmark Remington logo is etched on the face of the blade.

As functional and dependable as our premium D and M-Series hunting knives, the Remington Model 830 Folding Hunting Knife is a more economical option. Housed in a black or gray hard-anodized aluminum, precision-machined handle, the Model 830 has a 440A stainless steel, 2 3/4-inch drop point blade with bead blast finish and laser-marked logo. The stainless steel liners and pocket clip are bead blasted complimenting the utilitarian design of this hunting knife. Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, the handle features an ambidextrous thumb stud and stainless steel lanyard hole. Completing the package is the Remington shield on the face side. Overall closed length of the Model 830 is 3 5/8-inches.

Consumers look to Remington brand for durability, quality and innovative products, the addition of these three tactical series of hunting knives puts the Remington name on the "cutting edge" of high performance knives.
