Fishing Lures - Tungsten Head Anchors Terminator's New Custom Series

Fishing Lures - Press Release

Fishing Lures - Tulsa, Okla., - Spinnerbaits, the crescent wrench tool of bass fishing, got a whole lot tougher in 1997 when Terminator introduced their now patented titanium-frame version. Now the innovative leader in spinnerbaits has replaced lead with denser and environmentally friendly Tungsten heads in their new Terminator Custom Tungsten™ Series.

Tungsten is approximately 2 !/2 times more dense than ordinary lead-headed spinnerbaits of equal size. This allows Terminator's Custom Tungsten Series heads to weigh nearly a full 1A oz., yet be comparable in size to a }A oz. spinnerbait. No doubt, downsizing can definitely make for a much more successful outing. The density of Tungsten allows Terminator to produce a small profile finesse spinnerbait that still has plenty of weight to cast like a bullet and be fished to any depth anglers need it to go to.

This is huge news especially for tournament anglers who cast for cash yet find bites tougher to come by with each passing season. Plus, because of the increased density, blades as big as a number #5- sized Oklahoma blade can be used to produce tons of flash and vibration without rolling when retrieved, yet set over the lure's smaller head and skirt to maintain the finesse profile.

As if Tungsten and Titanium all in one spinnerbait weren't innovative enough, Terminator took it one step further .. .each bait was custom designed to spec by nine of America's most respected anglers. Terminator literally sent out a questionnaire to nine of their top tournament anglers, requesting that each angler design their idea of the perfect spinnerbait. This is an industry first among nationally marketed and distributed brands that typically sport very uniform blade offerings and rather plain vanilla skirt colors.

Nine totally different blade combos provide another highlight of this series. From hammered nickel blades to Jimmy Houston's personal choice, a single copper Oklahoma blade, there's a perfect blade combo to fit the needs of every angler in America.

Even the packaging for the new Custom Tungsten Series provides more than standard eye candy. The packaging for each individual bait comes with a tutorial telling anglers the best habitat, water clarity, water temperature range and sunlight conditions for that particular bait to be used in ... taking the standard random 'lucky guess' approach out of spinnerbait buying decisions. Plus, each package also provides an additional generalized Pro's Tip to aid in improving the spinnerbaiting skills of all anglers who purchase one.

Today's anglers prioritize performance and innovation over price in their efforts to make their time on the water as rewarding and productive as possible. The new Custom Tungsten Series is a reflection of Terminator's continued commitment to meeting those needs just as they did with the launch of the original T-l in 1997. The Custom Tungsten Series will be available at retail locations nationwide for about $9.99 by January, 2003.

Terminator Titanium Lures are manufactured and marketed by Outdoor Innovations, L.L.C Oklahoma.
