Fly Fishing - Falcon Graphite Rods Unveils Falcon Original Rod SeriesFly Fishing - BROKEN ARROW, Okla.– Falcon Graphite Rods has introduced Falcon Original™, an arsenal of 25 innovative, tournament-tested, 100-percent graphite fishing rods that are made in America and still sell for less than many mass produced, imported rods. Falcon Original series includes 14 casting and 11 spinning rods with actions and tapers to properly present lures and land bass, trout, walleye, salmon, catfish, crappie and bluegill in every situation. Mark Davis, three-time B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year and winner of the 1995 Bassmaster’s Classic, helped design and test prototypes of the new series in competition. “Falcon Original is an American original, the only graphite rod still made in the good ol’ U.S. of A. for less than $100 and featuring Fuji guides, Fuji reel seats, and tournament quality action,” said Chris Beckwith, Falcon’s vice president of marketing. Beckwith said most of the Falcon Original rods carry suggested list prices between $60 and $80. Designers specified stronger, lighter, low-to-the-blank guides made by Fuji for longer casts. The new rods also feature Fuji ergonomic graphite reel seats and graphite blanks which extend through the handle for strength and better sensitivity. “We specified 33 million modulus graphite for all the rods in the Falcon Original series. This, and the way the graphite fibers are configured, give these rods the best combination of strength, sensitivity and durability of any rod on the market,” said Beckwith. Company officials said the Falcon Original series updates and replaces the Falcon Silver series, the first rod line produced by Falcon Graphite Rods. Falcon Graphite Rods also designs, manufactures and markets four other rod series -- Falcon LowRider, Falcon Expert, Falcon Cara and, for saltwater anglers, Falcon Coastal. Information about the Falcon Original series of rods and other Falcon rods is available on the Falcon Graphite Rods website, http://falconrods.com/ or by contacting company headquarters in Broken Arrow, Okla., 918-251-0020.
