New Browning Knife Mirage Series for 2005.Hunting - Browning's diverse line of knives continues to expand with seven new series being added for 2005 to give the serious sportsman and collector the choice of many new innovative, unique designs with traditional Browning quality.Mirage Series Knives. The new Mirage knives for 2005 have replaceable, surgical steel blades, one smooth and one serrated. The GIN5 steel blades replace as easily as a shaving razor and lock into place. Every blade is cryogenically tempered to increase edge-holding ability. The blade "floats" on two Teflon® bushings, ensuring smooth opening action. Three folding locking liner models will be offered in three blade lengths that include 2 3/8", 3" and 3 ½" with black or camo handles. A fixed blade model will also be offered with a 3 ¾" blade with black of camo handle. Handles are Krayton/Coryor with Browning's exclusive Dura-Touch® finish for a better grip. They feature 420 high carbon steel drop point blades that are bead-blasted and laser engraved with the Buckmark logo. Handles are scratch-resistant, CNC machined, hard anodized 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum in black, silver or green finish. An ambidextrous thumb stud for easy one-hand opening and ball bearing detents for secure closure are also featured. A stainless steel skeletonized pocket clip is also included. Blade length is 3 3/16". Suggested Retail, $39.95. Scorpion Knives. The new Scorpion folding knives will be offered in eight models that are made in the USA with bead-blasted 420 HC stainless steel. Two drop point blade models will be offered in 2 ¾" and 3 ¼" blade lengths as well as a unique tanto blade style in 2 ¾" and 3 ¼" blade lengths. Handles are scratch-resistant, CNC machined, hard anodized 061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with stainless steel pocket clip. Available in either black or camo finished handles, Suggested Retail $46.95-49.95. Black Lightning Knives. Browning's new Black Lightning assisted opening knives feature the patented Accelerator System with bead-blasted blades made from 420 high carbon steel in 3 ¼" length. Handle materials include either bone, maple burl wood or 6061 aircraft grade aluminum in black or Mossy Oak® Break-Up® camo. Stainless steel pocket clip with bead-blasted finish and an ambidextrous thumb stud are also included. Suggested Retail, $89.00. New Shadow Knives. The new Shadow folding locking liner pocket knives feature a unique eye-catching design that will be offered in two models that are limited editions of only 500 each, with 2" Damascus steel blades from Damasteel, Sweden. Mother-of-pearl or exotic bocote wood accents with skeleton rifle laser-engraved in liners with individual serial numbers are also featured on limited edition models.
