Shimano Broadway Modular Fishing Tackle Storage SystemShimano recently expanded their fishing gear line with the new Broadway Modular Fishing Tackle Storage System. The Broadway MTTS allows the angler to build their own fishing tackle storage bag to match their particular style of fishing and also allows for expansion as your fishing tackle needs increase. At the base of Shimano’s fishing tackle storage system is a bag constructed of soft tarpaulin waterproof nylon fabric. It can hold any of the Shimano Tackle System’s storage bags. The main Broadway bag features a weatherproof side pocket, inner padded insulated material, a front tool compartment, EVA handle and detachable foam-padded shoulder strap, three-inch deep waterproof soft bottom, and two removable inner partitions. Currently Shimano is offering the following for their fishing tackle storage system: a modular worm binder, a modular reel storage bag with adjustable padded dividers, a modular tackle day bag that includes two 370 utility boxes and six worm binder pages, and a modular lure storage bag that includes a patent-pending vertical lure storage feature with a removable multi-hook hanging layer inner partition. They are all sized to fit into the main Broadway tackle bag. “Our Broadway MTTS lets anglers personalize their fishing tackle storage needs,” said Ted Sakai, product manager for Shimano Gear. “We are already working on additional modular bags that will focus on specific types of fishing lures, techniques and fishing locations. It is good to see Shimano expanding their line of fishing tackle with well thought out systems such as this.
