Cabela’s Whitetail Extreme Hunting ClothesCabela’s MT050 Whitetail Extreme hunting clothes are the best I’ve experienced for deer hunting. Not only will these hunting coats, bibs and pants keep you protected from the elements, they are also very comfortable to wear while not providing a lot of unnecessary weight. The Whitetail Extreme line from Cabela’s is so comfortable I started wearing them for many of my trips hunting and not just for tree stand hunting. This last fall I began wearing them for fall turkey hunting and some of my scouting trips. Another great plus about the Whitetail Extreme hunting clothes is the fact the pockets are in all the right places allowing me to stay organized. In addition the coat provides enough storage that you don’t necessarily need to pack a knapsack or bag in case you plan on spending all day on stand. It appears obvious to myself these hunting clothes were designed by someone who has spent a day or two in the field by providing storage in the right places and just enough of it to pack your essentials without creating a garment that has more pockets than protection from the cold. Speaking of protection from the cold each piece of the Cabela’s Whitetail Extreme hunting clothes features Thinsulate Supreme providing all the warmth and comfort you’ll ever need. I often find myself with just my Cold Gear and a flannel on underneath my Whitetail Extreme Coat. Thanks to the Gore-Tex in these hunting clothes you won’t have to worry about getting wet. For those of you who are concerned about scent the Whitetail Extremes are available with a Scent-Lok lining which will provides a charcoal barrier from scent getting out of your hunting coat, pants or bibs. The sleeves are what Cabela’s calls articulated four piece sleeves meaning there’s more than enough material to allow effortless movement without your clothes fighting back. Last, but not least one of the little details about this coat you’ll really like are the adjustable cuffs on both the sleeves of the coat and the pant legs which keep the cold and snow out. I believe I paid about $300 for the coat and somewhere around $280 for the bibs which may sound like a lot, but I plan on having these hunting clothes for a long time and wanted the best I could afford. I’m happy to report after three years of heavy use I haven’t found a single flaw in them and they truly do look like the day I bought them. I like this setup so much that I would love to see Cabela’s come out with this coat for everyday where without the camo. I know it shouldn’t be done, but more than once I’ve found myself throwing this coat on to shovel snow or run errands. If you want a great hunting coat, pants or bibs for hunting the Whitetail Extreme hunting clothes from Cabela’s should be extremely high on your list.
