Hunting Bows - Bowtech GuardianI recently purchased this bow after testing it out at Freds Sports in Waldorf Maryland. The bow is on the heavy side so this is not the bow for hiking way back into the mountains of Colorado. The shot is absolutely shock free and is very quiet. Do not cut the string silencers off as I did though. Very, very loud without them. I wanted to see if string leaches would make the bow even quieter. Not so. So far I am very pleased with the bows accuracy. I am using a quick tune smart rest (drop away) and could not be happier. I have shot the bow out to 90 yards on my first outing and had the best groups I have ever had at that distance with any bow. The advertised speed is reasonably close and the bow seems to be very well made. I marked the cams before leaving the store and after hundreds of shots the marks are still the same. Try that will a long string single cam bow! I have taken two deer with the bow and they did not seem to react to the shot at all. I will give a long term review in the future after the bow has been through an entire season.
