Hunting Gear -Browning Introduces New Black Ice® Technical Flashlights for 2004.Hunting Gear - MORGAN, UTAH—Browning's new Black Ice® series flashlights are the most advanced and technically superior lights yet to be offered on the market for the serious outdoorsman. The new Black Ice line of flashlights feature a machined aluminum housing with unbreakable lens and are water resistant. A combination Xenon/LED technology allows for the use of a Xenon bulb for long-range stream light and LED for flood lighting on close-up tasks. The one watt LED bulbs in the new Black Ice lights are ten times brighter than traditional LEDs with 100,000 hours of bulb life. Models with colored LED lights allow for greater night vision and aid in tracking wounded game. Lightweight lithium batteries operate at temperatures from -40° F to 140° F. Seven models will be offered in a blued gun metal finish with gold end caps and lanyard. A small Black Ice Keychain version with 0.1W white LED will also be offered. Black Ice flashlights will also be offered in two models in Mossy Oak® Break-Up™ or Mossy Oak® Shadow Grass camo with Dura-Touch armor coating. Various Xenon/LED bulb configurations will be available in 3V, 6V and 9V voltage. Five different headlamp models will be offered in the new Black Ice line to give hunters multiple LED bulb color options to use for all types of situations. Also new in the Browning Black Ice line of lights is a 12 LED lantern. The virtually indestructible LED bulbs offer thousands of hours of continuous flood lighting. A unique dimmer switch allows adjustment of the amount of light emitted. The new 12 LED Lantern has a lightweight design with durable construction for easy transportation and hanging.
